Have you heard of Regenerative Agriculture lately? We look at it in-depth with Mark Gardner.

Regenerative Agriculture is a system of farming principles and practices that increases biodiversity, enriches soils, improves watersheds, and enhances ecosystem services. It aims to capture carbon in soil and aboveground biomass, reversing current global trends of atmospheric accumulation.
At the same time, it offers increased yields, resilience to climate instability, and higher health and vitality for farming and ranching communities.

The system draws from decades of scientific and applied research by the global communities of organic farming, agroecology, Holistic Management, and agroforestry.

Dakota has been running trails ever since he found that trail running wasn’t nearly as competitive as road running, and that it might give him a shot at being famous. He still isn’t famous, but it turns out he really likes exploring wild places on foot.

Indeed, this unexpected appreciation of nature has resulted in him doing all kinds of complicated things in order to try to save the environment, like taking a cargo ship across the ocean and being a pain in the ass at potlucks by not eating meat. Lately, he has come to accept that compromises are inevitable, and that the goal must be to choose which compromises to make and then work to reduce them over time.

Dakota puts his emotion into action working along side partners such as Protect Our Winters (POW), utilising his ability to run fast on trails to promote sustainability and respect, which sounds like two things that wouldn’t work together, but which in reality are surprisingly interconnected. Please listen to this podcast with him and get all your friends to do so too. His self-esteem depends on it.

Jill Wheatly, in my mind, is a mountain of positivity and continuous inspiration.
In her own words ‘Every day is an opportunity to celebrate impermanence and the life I nearly lost.’ And I am truly grateful to have met this champion of human endurance and the ability to hold space for this conversation with her.
Please take your time to listen to her story. In the blink of an eye, Jill went from being an active, autonomous athlete to  suffering a traumatic brain injury (TBI) that took 70% of her vision and nearly her life. This has led Jill to become someone who aims to be mindful in every moment and make every second count adventuring in mountains around the world.

Amidst achievements like winning Western States Endurance Run 100 mile and crossing Nepal in a Fastest Known Time (FKT) a journey of 1504km, 70,100m of elevation gain in a time of 25 days, 4 hours and 24 minutes along a version of the Great Himalayan Trail with Ryno Griesel, working alongside various foundations and becoming a father, Ryan has spent a lot of time getting grounded by the sport of trail running. And throughout this conversation, I think you’ll be able to understand that I mean that literally and figuratively.

Twenty-three-year-old Josh is on track to represent New Zealand in running at the next Commonwealth Games when he was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. In a single moment, the course of his life has changed irrevocably. What follows are years of excruciating pain, brutal treatments both in New Zealand and Australia, and shocking side-effects that send a young man to the brink of despair and back innumerable times. Ultimately, it is the enduring love of his close-knit family and friends, the incredible medical professionals who treat him, his spiritual beliefs, and his passion for nature that carry Josh through the hardest of challenges.
