Alpinamente 3264m Review
Showcasing style and practicality in one set of specs.
I love being able to travel with minimal possessions. One pair of jocks, socks, shorts and sunnies (sunglasses). I also love offering discount codes to help you get a new pair of these shades, so head to the bottom of the post for details.
Alpinamente = Alps +mente (that is MIND in Italian) but is can be read as “in alpine way”.
Alpinamente’s founder, Stefano, is an Italian born mountain man. Just like any day in the mountains you take risks and creating a brand of sunglasses in a very competitive market, is no different. The ‘main focus was to have a very stable frame while running, great lenses and a touch of fashion’.
Looking at it from across the table, it’s one set of shades for any occasion. Its a great idea. A gamble well played.
So lets take a closer look at the original release, The Alpinamente 3264m, and see if Alpinamente, considered the basics and the critical aspects of running eyewear.
Seriously comfortable and unexpectedly well fitted, these really did perform like a set of sunglasses, specifically designed for running.
With the ability to mould and angle the nose piece and side arms, the fit can be personalised to minimise all movement on the go.
The composition of the lens with its resistance to water allows for clear vision when the sweat comes on thick and fast.
And continually being ask – ‘Can you run in those, too?’ is the single biggest indicator that these don’t look like running sunnies, but more like specs for a catwalk.
On the finer details, features include:
FULL SUN PROTECTION
100% protection against UVA,UVB,UVC and harmful blue light up to 400nm
TR90 frame and polycarbonate lenses set 3264m under 35g
TR90 was produced through Swiss technology as a thermoplastic material that is incredibly durable, flexible, and lightweight. Glasses made with TR90 are extremely comfortable because they have a flexible quality. Since they are flexible, they can bend under pressure and contour your face comfortably.
MADE FOR SWEAT
